About this item:
This vase is part of the "coral" theme the artist first explored in her exhibition celebrating the life work of the Australian poet, Judith Wright.

Wright was a fierce advocate for environmental and equity issues and was instrumental in defending the Great Barrier Reef from inappropriate development.

The vessel is made from Southern Ice porcelain, wheel thrown and then the coral pattern hand-carved on the outer surface. The interior is glazed a lovely sky-blue colour, making it fully functional.

The exterior of the vase is the pure, vitrified porcelain, which has been polished to a buttery, warm finish.
