About this item:
The vase is in the Japanese 'single flower' or Ichirinzashi style.

Ichirinzashi vases are designed for displaying a very minimalist single flower or dried element.

The artist has thrown the vase as a perfect sphere and then introduced random flattening of the surface to make the form more natural and rock-like.

The satin white body glaze is overlaid with a pale sky blue glaze giving a duotone effect.
